Okay, so here we are with this year winding down to the end. With Halloween over we find our self's preparing for Thanksgiving. As many of you know we will not be coming home for Thanksgiving. We are all very sad to say, but the bright side is that three weeks after Thanksgiving we will be home for two weeks, for Christmas. So everyone get there planners out and lets spend some time together!!!! We are super excited to see everyone and have lots of fun. Tyree and Parker tell me every day what they want for Christmas. There list is very long. So be prepared grandparents!!!
Well lets update ya'll on whats happening on here.
Tyree is loving school still. She comes home every day with new things that she has learned. With the elections, she decided that if she could have voted she would have voted for the old guy, and the lady. I thought that was hilarious, When I told her grandma Pam, she had some choice words for Tyree.
She loved Halloween this year. Tyree decided that she wanted to be a ballerina. She was beautiful. Some of you know about Tyree and Halloween, and her distaste for this holiday. Surprisingly enough she did not want to come inside this year from trick-or-treating. She and her little bro had a blast. We knocked on most of the doors in our little community, some were home and most were not. But for the small amount of doors that they knocked on, they got tonz of candy. Tyree loved not having to see any one out trick-or-treating, that is why I think she did so well and liked Halloween so much. She hates masks and not being able to see peoples faces. So we are counting this Halloween as a success!
Parker, of course is still crazy as ever. We really have alot of fun together. We looked at to getting him in a pre-school program, but will save that until next year.
He too loved Halloween this year. Our ward with along the other two ward that attend our building held a trunk or treat, with all three wards, it was a crazy site. We invited some friends and really had a great time! The kids ran around like crazed monkeys, getting lots of candy and enjoying the sugar rush, that comes with this time of year. Parker is currently into Bob the Builder, seeing his enthusiasm in this character we together decided that he would be a perfect Bob. I think that he is a handsome Bob the Builder. What do you think???
Scotty, is doing well in school. He has been studiously involved in witting his 30 pg. community paper. We have all pitched in and helped. We also can't wait till it is due. With only 5 more weeks left of the semester he is marching on. Tyree, Parker and I are all very proud of him and his accomplishments.
Myself, I have committed myself to exercising every day, which I am happy to say that I have been successful for three weeks now. I really enjoy it and feel like I have had a great workout when I ache all over. I still have not found a job yet, but continue that search. Of course being new to our ward, I had the wonderful opportunity to give a talk in Sacrament meeting, I felt really good about the message that I prepared and surprisingly did a good job. I love being able to spend time with Parkie and being able to pick up Ty from school. We get to have a lot of quality time with each other, 'some parts were fun and some parts were scary.' The two lovely ladies in the picture are Laura on my left and Sherri on my right.
We are really enjoying our time here. We have had lots of great experiences and met lots of wonderful people. We have truly been blessed to have adjusted so well into our new home and community. We will always remember this time in our lives, and will hold onto these memories forever. We do miss our family and friends in Utah, but feel very at home here and have fit in quite well. Plus the great weather that we have been having has defiantly made life easier. So sorry to hear about the 30 degree weather in SLC.
