Halloween is over and on to Thanksgiving

Okay, so here we are with this year winding down to the end. With Halloween over we find our self's preparing for Thanksgiving. As many of you know we will not be coming home for Thanksgiving. We are all very sad to say, but the bright side is that three weeks after Thanksgiving we will be home for two weeks, for Christmas. So everyone get there planners out and lets spend some time together!!!! We are super excited to see everyone and have lots of fun. Tyree and Parker tell me every day what they want for Christmas. There list is very long. So be prepared grandparents!!!

Well lets update ya'll on whats happening on here.

Tyree is loving school still. She comes home every day with new things that she has learned. With the elections, she decided that if she could have voted she would have voted for the old guy, and the lady. I thought that was hilarious, When I told her grandma Pam, she had some choice words for Tyree.
She loved Halloween this year. Tyree decided that she wanted to be a ballerina. She was beautiful. Some of you know about Tyree and Halloween, and her distaste for this holiday. Surprisingly enough she did not want to come inside this year from trick-or-treating. She and her little bro had a blast. We knocked on most of the doors in our little community, some were home and most were not. But for the small amount of doors that they knocked on, they got tonz of candy. Tyree loved not having to see any one out trick-or-treating, that is why I think she did so well and liked Halloween so much. She hates masks and not being able to see peoples faces. So we are counting this Halloween as a success!

Parker, of course is still crazy as ever. We really have alot of fun together. We looked at to getting him in a pre-school program, but will save that until next year.
He too loved Halloween this year. Our ward with along the other two ward that attend our building held a trunk or treat, with all three wards, it was a crazy site. We invited some friends and really had a great time! The kids ran around like crazed monkeys, getting lots of candy and enjoying the sugar rush, that comes with this time of year. Parker is currently into Bob the Builder, seeing his enthusiasm in this character we together decided that he would be a perfect Bob. I think that he is a handsome Bob the Builder. What do you think???

Scotty, is doing well in school. He has been studiously involved in witting his 30 pg. community paper. We have all pitched in and helped. We also can't wait till it is due. With only 5 more weeks left of the semester he is marching on. Tyree, Parker and I are all very proud of him and his accomplishments.

Myself, I have committed myself to exercising every day, which I am happy to say that I have been successful for three weeks now. I really enjoy it and feel like I have had a great workout when I ache all over. I still have not found a job yet, but continue that search. Of course being new to our ward, I had the wonderful opportunity to give a talk in Sacrament meeting, I felt really good about the message that I prepared and surprisingly did a good job. I love being able to spend time with Parkie and being able to pick up Ty from school. We get to have a lot of quality time with each other, 'some parts were fun and some parts were scary.' The two lovely ladies in the picture are Laura on my left and Sherri on my right.

We are really enjoying our time here. We have had lots of great experiences and met lots of wonderful people. We have truly been blessed to have adjusted so well into our new home and community. We will always remember this time in our lives, and will hold onto these memories forever. We do miss our family and friends in Utah, but feel very at home here and have fit in quite well. Plus the great weather that we have been having has defiantly made life easier. So sorry to hear about the 30 degree weather in SLC.

UPDATE!!!

Well here we are, finding that October is almost upon us. I can't believe where this year has gone. As I look back over the last couple of months, it is unreal to believe that we are here in South Carolina. I'm sure that most of you thought that we would never make it.

Well to give you an update on the family; Tyree is doing great at school! We had parent teacher conference last week, Tyree's teacher Mrs. Hooker, has informed us that Tyree is above the bench mark that has been set for the kindergarten grade. They recently has some testing done to determine how the kids where doing with there letters and the sounds that they make. Along with the testing that they did, they have started a new program at school, where they get to go and spend 50 mins every day with another teather. There they will be starting to read. They will get her fimiliar with her site words like; and, it, I, but, he, she. And sounding out words as well. She will be with groups of children who are all learning on the same level. We are all excited to watch her progress and learn new things.

Parker, as you can guess is still crazy as ever. He is growing so much. Finding out new things to drive his mom crazy with. He seriously is a blast to have around. His smile and laughter is infectious! Some parts where fun and some parts where scary. He has made some new friends too. Jack and Elania are some of his new friends. They are both cute little kids. Parker and Jack togehter given the chance could get in some big trouble. So I'm just waiting for the bomb to go off! He still misses his big sister, and can't wait to go and pick her up after school.

Scotty, is doing great in school too. He just recently had a test and scored a 99%, on of the highest in the class. He was very proud of himself, and I am too.

I have yet to find a job. It seems that no one would like to hire me. It is getting a little frustrating, but at least I have Parker to keep me entertained. Scotty and I have spent many hours on our knees asking the Lord to bless us with a job that will work for our family. We are very hopeful that something will come along soon. I have made a couple of new friends too. I posted an add on Criag's List, to put together a play group for Parker, and I had only one reply. Laura, and her family just moved from Porto Rico, she has 3 kids the two oldest are the same ages as Ty and Parkie, so double bonus. While meeting at the park the first time we also meet Shari. Shari and her family moved from Richmond, VA. a few months ago. She has two kids, Jack whom I have mention and Elli who is 16 month old. So we are all new implants to South Carolina. We have formed a fast bond. We all got together over the weekend for dinner, and fun. The husbands got along great. It was a lot of fun.

The weekend before, we went to a carnival. It was up the street from us. The kids had a blast. They went on a couple of rides. They had a slide there, and good thing that it didn't cost any tickets because the went on that thing for 45 mins. strait. They had such a good time. The pictures are from the carnival. Sorry they are a little dark. The little girl that is with Ty, is a friend from school, that she ran into. The carnival was way to much fun, and of course they didn't want to leave.

Well I hope all is well with our friends and family. We miss and can't wait until Christmas. We arrive on the 19th of Dec. We will be staying for two weeks. The kids are so excited to see Grandma's and Grandpa's, and I'm sure that they are excited to see them too. We love all of you and think of you often. Love ya!

So we finally made it. Scotty has been here for a couple of weeks. Tyree, Parker and I arrived the 30th of August. The first night Ty and Parker had a little bit of a hard time. It was a long day filled with air plains and airports, and by the time we made it home to our new house they were ready to break.

Tyree is enrolled full time in kindergarten and loving every minute of it. Her teacher is great, her name is Mrs. Hooker. Tyree is doing great and loving every passing day. She is becoming such a big girl and learning more and more every day.

Parker is up to no good as usual. He and I are spending our days together. We are having a great time in our mommy and son bonding time. I have been looking into getting him into a great pre-school, but have not found one yet. Parker gets a little bored with out Ty. I try to keep entertained as best as I can. He has been a great sport. I have been trying to find a play group for him, so that he can play with other little kids

Scotty is getting settled into school as well. He goes the the university two days a week. The other three days is spent between his assistantship and work at the university

Myself, I have been trying to find a job. It has turned out to be harder then once thought. I love spending my time with Parker and exploring our new surroundings. We have had a lot of fun togther.
